Current Traffic Advisories
Wednesday, 06 August 2008

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 7, at 9 a.m. and continuing for approximately three years, Erie Street (between Juniata Street and US 40 in Havre de Grace) will be temporarily closed to through traffic.  There will be no access to US 40 at this location.  Erie Street will remain open to local traffic only.  Residents may access Erie Street from eastbound US 40.  Detours will be in place.  For additional information, visit the "Press Releases" section of this website.

Permanent single-lane closures began June 9 and will continue for approximately three years. One lane will remain open in each direction except during scheduled off-peak travel times.

The Hatem Bridge Preservation Project has begun and is expected to take about 3½ years to complete. This US 40 bridge over the Susquehanna River will remain open during the project, with one lane open in each direction except during scheduled times to allow for delivery of construction materials.

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will maintain this website throughout the duration of the preservation project to provide current and pertinent information as the construction progresses.
