Traffic Advisories:

The MDTA will begin the third of four stages of the Hatem Bridge Preservation Project on or around Jan. 28.  This stage, anticipated to last one year, will result in a new traffic pattern for westbound motorists.  For additional details, click here.

Reminder:

Please be reminded that periodic demolition activities in conjunction with the Hatem Bridge Preservation Project may occur 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.  Local residents may experience heightened noise during this timeframe.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

E-ZPass Changes Effective July 1

On January 29, the Authority Members approved a cost-recovery initiative that is expected to generate approximately $60 million a year for the self-supporting agency and help offset the costs of operating the E-ZPass system.  As part of this initiative, E-ZPass administrative changes are effective July 1.  Click Here for detailed E-ZPass information.

Attention Commuter Ticket Customers:

Effective March 1, 2009, Commuter Tickets will no longer be available for purchase.  The last day to use tickets for toll payment will be shown on the ticket book.  The date will be on or before April 28, 2009.  Continue enjoying your discount and sign-up for E-ZPass today!  Visit www.ezpassmd.com or your local E-ZPass Stop-in Center.  (please note:  AVI decals will remain available for purchase.

The Hatem Bridge Preservation Project has begun and is expected to take about 3½ years to complete. This US 40 bridge over the Susquehanna River will remain open during the project, with one lane open in each direction except during scheduled times to allow for delivery of construction materials.

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will maintain this website throughout the duration of the preservation project to provide current and pertinent information as the construction progresses.
